Can I paste a TikTok, Instagram or YouTube link?
Yes for supported individual public TikTok videos and Instagram videos or Reels. YouTube is not currently supported. Profile pages, audio collection pages, private posts and login-protected content do not work. Platform restrictions can also prevent some public posts from downloading.
Why does my direct link fail?
The source must allow cross-origin browser access and return the complete file without redirects, cookies or login. A link to a webpage, playlist or expired file will not work. Save a permitted copy yourself and use Upload a file instead.
Is extracting audio lossless?
No. This tool re-encodes the first audio track as a 192 kbps stereo MP3 at 44.1 kHz. Quality and channel layout can change. Use the audio metadata remover if you only want to remove supported tags without re-encoding.
Do you upload or store my files?
Local files are processed in your browser without being uploaded to Quiet Media Tools. Direct links are fetched by your browser from the source website, which receives that request. For TikTok and Instagram links, our download server receives the post URL and streams source media to your browser. It does not persist those links or media files. Temporary request and IP data are used to limit abuse. MP3 conversion happens on your device.
What are the limits?
Input files are limited to 64 MiB and 15 minutes of readable audio. The MP3 output limit is 32 MiB. Source-file downloads stop after one minute and extraction stops after two minutes. Social links allow eight requests per IP address per ten minutes, subject to shared capacity and a daily transfer allowance. If the service is busy, try later or use a local file. Shorter files work better on mobile devices.
